Coming Soon...A New Jail In Harris County, Texas

Houston Harris County, Texas JailAdrian Garcia, Harris County Sheriff, admits that a new jail in Harris County, Texas is necessary to avoid any lingering problems with his jail.  I hope that the Sheriff informed the Commissioner's Court of his position.  Essentially, his stating that even if the problems are fixed only more problems will arise in the future unless a new jail is constructed. What is being done with the $5 million dollars he was recently given to address the jail conditions?  As a Houston Criminal Attorney this is discouraging news.

Of course is crazy, If they stop making people take a plea, for something they truly did not do, they make not need another jail. MY son who has been held in harris for a year, because he would not plead guilty. and take to 2years, was just made to sit there for a year. Now they want to come back after a year and offer him the same two years or have this disable person go and sign for the two years so he can get out now. So he was put in a position the take a charge on him name for life just to get out. And the boy that really did the offend, was there to tell the judge that the other person had nothing to do the the robber. and did not get a chance to to speak. That really mess up.
