Harris County,Texas Jail Conditions Not Improving

As a Houston criminal defense Lawyer I am always concerned with our local jail conditions. While Adrian Garcia has not been Sheriff of Harris County, Texas long,  the conditions of his jail are not improving according to Inspectors. It has been a continuous battle to improve the jail conditions in Harris County, Texas.  Hopefully, Sheriff Garcia will make some improvements soon.

The inspectors also found that courtroom holdover cells are packed beyond capacity.  This is evident to any practicing Houston criminal defense attorney.  Routinely, courts are unable to have all the defendants that are in jail make their morning docket.  Nothing is more frustrating to a person expecting to go to court only to find out that they will not be going because there are too many people in custody.  This is also frustrating to the person's family and their attorney.

If you or someone you care about needs help with their criminal case please call our law firm at (713) 242-1779 or visit our website at www.mmalaw.com.

HA-HA
Nothing could improve this hellhole. If you want some SERIOUS rights violations give them a visit.
Will be looking into suit.More to curb these abuses then for $$.
Were else can you share your (private)attorney conference with 25 loud inmates on your side and the DA,DA assistant, others wandering by on your attorneys side.
On meds? disabled as I am? You won't get any of your current meds, competent medical attention nor any help what-so-ever.Sleep on concrete floors with nothing to eat but random bologna sandwiches for 2 days before you even see a cot.
Move from holding cell to holding cell over and over (25 in 4 days)along with up to 100 others.Sometimes everyone must stand for hours otherwise all would not fit.
"Capacity 8 people" I watched 35 inmates walk out of (so they could fit another group).
So,If your looking for a vacation, want to lose weight or just want to feel how people use to live before civil rights then come on down.....They got a space in line for you.(There is money to be made.)
Never thought owing Illinois 300.00 from 1986 would have ended me up in this concentration camp.
My advice....
Avoid Texas all together.NEVER NEVER NEVER fly into the country thru ANY hub in Texas (especially Houston airports)
And avoid Texas all together. And avoid Texas all together. And avoid Texas all together.
